SLA Saved the Day: Inventory Categories to Product Line Accounting using Sub-Ledger Accounting
We assign an item’s inventory category at the inventory organization level. By configuring Sub-Ledger Accounting (SLA) to map inventory category to product line we can segregate, by category/product line, our on-hand inventory balances, purchase price variance and other transactions, in the general ledger, while maintaining full drill-down capability.

AMEing for Journal Approval Using Job Approval Levels
Using AME for Journal Approval provides tremendous flexibility. Although we tried several approaches, approval groups within AME became very maintenance intense a employees terminated or change positions.
Our approach was to reduce maintenance and increase mobility by using the employee supervisor hierarchy and job approval levels to determine approval limits.
Our presentation will walk you through why we chose this approach and the steps needed to implement this simple but effective approval hierarchy including reporting for audit purposes.
